On Facebook Quizzes

What is it with these quizzes that hook us like an addiction that one could not resist? (Aside from the fact that it exhausts all your time figuring what kind of personality you have or be randomly labeled as the cool cheerleader or a "Natalie Portman"). Well whatever reason everyone has on taking these online personality tests, this is surely the latest craze.
These are my 6 random things why I sooo love Facebook Quizzes.
Six
There are a number of chances I get to flaunt my idiocy to everyone in my friends list including one college professor who by the way also answers one or two occassionally. Majority of the Filipino quizzes has the most ludicrous intonation. Like in: Anong klaseng estudyante ka? ( Result: Kerengkeng), Sa anong contest ka magaling? (Result: Sleeping Contest), Anong klaseng kriminal ka (Result: Terorista o Bandido), Gaano ka kabobo? (Result:Cool na Bobo), Anong klaseng utot ka (Result: Utot na Tahimik pero Maamoy), Gaano ka kaganda? (Result: Pangit ka. Un lang) and others.
Five
It makes me "bida-bidahan" or epal. Since the results are posted on my profile, anyone in my friends list can see my recent actions. In this way, I can show off the cool results to my friends and people I do not entirely consider as my friends, like in: How smart are you (Result: 100% intelligent), Who were you in the past life (Result: Marie Curie or Einstein) and Are you smarter than a 5th Grader? (Result: Genius). Okay, I am quite a trivia fanatic that's why I ace almost every quiz with trivia choices.
Four
90% of all the results is quite true (or so I think). The results say I am : A Deep Thinker, Merciful, Very Submissive, Boring, A little too emotional, Pure and Innocent. (woohoo!!)
Three
I can actually manipulate the outcome of the test depending on the choices I make. There are some quizzes that were very predictable like in: What kind person are you? where the choices I picked were actually obvious for a nerd. (wink) And if you are not satisfied with the results, you can retake it to finally come up with your personal preference. ( Jerry admits on doing this!)
Two
It holds some answers to my life's greatest enigma. Why are you single? (Result: Too Shy), What kind of guys do you attract? (Result: Old Creepers, eeww scary!), Boplaks ka ba sa pag-ibig? (Result: Aba nag-iisip ka pala!), What's your greatest weakness? (Result: Trust), How will you die? (Result: Chocolate Overdose, hmm... not that I believed it) and Ano ang unang letra ng taong makakatuluyan mo? (Result: L).
One
I have nothing against these online tests. It is innate in a human nature to probe on what kind of person you are. These tests are actually a less harmful way of finding who you are instead of having friends insensitively complain on how bad your attitude is.
Here are some of my favorite results:

Jessica Virnna just took the "Which Book Are You?" quiz and the result is The Tell Tale Heart.
People are afraid of you. You are creepy, scary, dark, and occasionally insane. On the other hand, those who know you are more than willing to get over your creepy side (often, your friends are rather like you, in that sense) because they know you have a lot to offer. You are concise in your speech, and you can always tell a story exactly the way you saw it. You get things done, no matter what sorts of obstacles there may be. Lots of people know you, but are either turned away by your reputation, or drawn to it like magnets. You are a very deep thinker, with the ability to present a new side of things very quickly. Your weakness is guilt. You aren't the worst of your kind (there are much creepier) and you have a strange mysterious allure.
Jessica Virnna just took the Who Were You In A Past Life? quiz and got the result: Gandhi..
Gandhi: In your past life you were Ghandi. In this life you continue to have a strong resolve, are steadfast in your beliefs, very patriotic, moral, and caring.
Jessica Virnna took the What's Wrong With You? quiz and the result is Maybe Sometimes a Little Emotional. You're almost perfect, but sometimes you "feel" a little bit too much. Which is okay, really. We mean, it's better to feel too much than too little. Just think of all those boring robots out there who don't get half of the sensation you do when you eat a granola bar or tie your shoe. Plus, there are all those emotions that are great to feel (like "chirpy"), and you get to feel them better than anyone. So feel proud. (In addition to feeling confused, and excited, and the 50,000 other emotions you've already got going on right now.)
