A thousand fireflies

If only I can catch a thousand fireflies
I would and put it in my heart to find where you are now
A thousand fireflies under the moonlight glow
Seem unequal to the thousand stars in your skies

If only I can glow in this lifetime, I will
And I won't be scared of what is inside this darkness
I am but one firefly, a love that flickers in brief flashes
 Isolated, Fleeting, ephemeral and lifeless

I dance with the wind and I dance in the dark
A million waltzes in the starry sky
Hovering over you  and locked in the night
For in the morning I glow no more.

The silhoutte of my past is lurking through my soul
In sight are a thousand fireflies
Like scattered gems in the waveless sea
My hands are tied, I could not move.
